๐ถ Privacy Policy for Walkable
Last updated: 14 June 2026
Here's the short version: Walkable keeps everything on your phone. Nothing is sent to me, or to anyone else. There are no servers, no accounts, no tracking.
That's really the whole story, but here are the details.
What the app uses
While you're recording a walk, Walkable uses your phone's GPS to trace your route and work out the distance. It can keep recording while your screen is off or the app is in the background โ but only during a walk you've started, and it stops when you end the walk.
That's the only data involved, and it never leaves your phone. It lives in the app's private storage on your device. I can't see it. Nobody can, except you.
No analytics, no ads, no crash reporting, no cloud, no selling anything to anyone.
The location permission
Walkable needs location access (including while the screen is locked) to record your route. You can turn it on or off anytime in your phone's settings โ without it, walk tracking won't work.
Your data, your control
- Your walks stay on your phone until you delete them in the app.
- Uninstalling the app deletes everything.
Kids
Walkable isn't aimed at children under 13, and I don't knowingly collect anything from them. (Then again, I don't collect anything from anyone.)
Changes
If this policy ever changes, I'll update it here and bump the date at the top.
